Aduré Esther Oleru: aka - the most giggly gal you will ever meet.

Hi friends! Aduré here. Figured it's best to start this new journey with a simple introduction. I was raised in the suburban town of McKinney, Texas (near the outskirts of Dallas.) Although I was originally born in Oklahoma City, I'm a Texas girl at heart. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Human Sciences from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
Just like the rest of the world, my life was greatly impacted by COVID-19. When society went into a global shut-down, that led to attending my virtual graduation where I was forced to "walk the stage" from my living room couch. Boo. After being forced to immediately adjust my life plans, I took a leap of faith and entered into a gap year. As a long year of living by James 2:18 came to a close, I blindly applied for a full time job working in ministry at Passion City Church located in Atlanta, Georgia. Next thing you know, I packed up my entire life in a large uHaul truck and drove 13 hours across state lines with my family.
After working a year in ministerial leadership, I transitioned into the corporate world when I accepted a job as an event planner for a company called Southface Institute. As the company strived to save the planet by making new ecological advancements, I was responsible for orchestrating all the events for the institution. This includes hiring chefs, decorating the venue space, coordinating the entertainment, and developing the “Run of Show” agenda for the evening.
After another year, I transitioned into my now current role as a Member Service Associate on the Brand 50 team for a company called World 50. In addition to leading a group of 90 divisional CMOs for the top C-Suite companies in the world, I'm lucky enough to work alongside some of the best humans I've ever met in my life.
Outside of attending a local church in the heart of Midtown, I also enjoy taking pilate classes, discovering new coffee shops in the city, playing tennis, and leading a bible study for women in Atlanta who are seeking Godly community. In order to keep my event planning creativity alive, I also host events for the residents at my apartment complex. My newest venture recently has been becoming a co-director for an organization called Polished, which teaches women how to be the light of Jesus in the corporate world. However, my overall deepest desire is to one day work in the business of abolishing human trafficking.
Now that we're acquainted, put your feet up & get comfortable. The journey is only beginning.
